Trampoline HELP

alright so i have friends that have trampolines and have deffinatly seen the benefits for skiing...now how do i convince my parents to get one (their number one concern is safety)?

get a net as well

and also better to learn tricks on the tramp than on the hill i suppose.

Look into the Spring Free Trampolines. They're pricey, but have a ton of stuff on their site proving and boasting about how they're the safest trampolines in the world. I've got one and its great. Dont worry about the whole 'spring free' aspect, the thing launches you really high.

They've got a whole section on safety, check out the site and print off some facts for your parents. If this  doesn't convince your parents im not sure anything else will.

You can get it dug into the ground and have mats surrounding it so that when you fly off of it you don't hit a net.

about those springfree tramps....are there any big ones, the biggest one i saw was like 12'...i was looking more for 14 or 15 feet diameter

The spring free tramps are just not as good dude. But if thats what it takes to get one then do it.

I agree that the spring free tramps aren't as good as the spring ones, but they are still pretty solid trampolines... They are still fun and bouncy. I have a spring tramp, but if you can't get one, then def go for the spring free tramp.

those stupid wall things. theyve saved my crazy ass so many times.  and waaay cheaper than the springless ones.  but apparently they have trampoline insurence??? idk what it does, but apparently its pricey.

Definitely the hole in the ground idea.  Safe and sick!  Net = no good.  Springless, from my experience, aren't nearly as bouncy, as in, I can jump just as high on flat ground.  Maybe there are better springless ones than the few that I've been on, but from what I've seen, they suck.

if your just starting and theyre concerned about safety a net really helps. its def saved me from eating shit when i was learning flips. i think a hole in the ground would be overkill unless your a big guy

Being dug into the ground is useful for anyone, having a net is a waste. If you are have strong legs and push yourself within a month you will be out-jumping the net (on a rectangle).

And, if you are going to come off, you will probably land on your feet and be pretty low to the tramp bed to, the reason most people fall off is on the bounce after the trick they are doing because they land off-balance, so if they would absorb as much bounce as possible on the bed after the trick then they won't go off hard.

Get a rectangle tramp, way better. Tell your parents you will do everything to learn how to be safe, tell them the first thing you will do is learn to control your bounce ande body move type thing.


also, join the official trampoline cult.

just dig a hole like the dude said.. I have an olympic size tramp ive put in the ground at my hosue and it works awesome.. ill take some photos tommorow and post them for you to show you some ideas on how to do it/

Yeah they're good but i wouldn't suggest doubles. If you have somebody to double bounce you then yeah you can do pretty much anything, but i cant get more than a 900 by myself.

Check some vids on youtube if you want examples
