Critique this photo (please)

So this is the first time I tried to put a series of photos together. It was hard shooting in such low light to get all the pics to come out the same colors especialy because settings had to be changed when shooting the city lights vs. the open ocean. Anyhow, what do you think, what could've made it better? Have at it.

dope you deffanatly did a good job getting the light right, there isnt any big jump from one how light one section is compaired to another.  i like it alot

Awesome picture! The only thing I noticed is that the sky on the right side is more blue than the left side, I'm not sure if thats actually how it was or not though.

yea, nice shot, hard to critique, only thing is, as much as I dislike HDR, I think this is a time when it could lock epic,

and I might have reduced the aperture for a longer exposure, just to make the clouds and the water look super-slick and smooth

but as it is it's dope anyway !

Panoramic pictures and HDR pictures are two complete different things. Research the two and you will find out.

Nice job for your first panoramic. You can do some work with your levels if you want the grass in front a little brighter.

They are completely different things, one defines the ratio between the bright and dark parts of the scene, and the other is simply a description of a picture format which incorporates a large angle. The two can be combined perfectly I did some "research" for you:

clicking that link should give you some humility, and stop you telling people who photograph professionally to "do some research"

It's really good but I think it would have looked better if it was a little brighter out. It was really dark on the sides and my eyes were instantly drawn to the background lights.

I think it looks way cool man, nice job. It's really hard to get every little technical detail about panoramics correct, such as light from scene to scene and stitching it all together. Work on that and you're gold, but for a first try this is great. Mine still suck haha.

Thanks for the insight everyone. I didn't even know what HDR was until i just looked it up and now I have all kinds of crazy ideas I can't wait to try. Never even though of layering different exposures. Theres so much to this whole photography thing its insane.

it's definitely something to take note of, especially when you have two very differently lit parts of a picture, like a dark scene with a bright sky. Expose for the sky in one pic, the dark areas in the other pic, and combine in photoshop. I'm not a fan of really overdone HDRs though, but it can definitely look good and make the picture a lot more interesting.

not a great example, but I edited the umbrellas different from the sky so one wouldn't be overexposed.

That's really nice, I'm not a huge fan of HDR, but I have done the odd few, although I refer to do it manualy as opposed to relying on software, it takes longer but the result is much crisper (I think)here's one of mine:
