Replying to UC Santa Cruz vs. CU Boulder

I'm trying to pick which school to go to and i can't decide for the life of me. I know CU has better skiing party scene ect.. but how bout actual people, are they interesting,how bout academics and also stuff to do in Santa Cruz and Boulder respectively.

Im from Boston if that helps and went to a really small high school. I am interested in either environmental engineering or environmental science, but not too sure.

Does anyone on here go to Santa Cruz, and how often do you ski?
