the only reason why I don't like him is because he is the cockiest person I have ever heard. Between his vids and what he writes in mags, I just dont like his attitude. On the other hand, he is a super sick skier with steeze. I love his freestyle 'walking' or whatever he does. Cork 7s off of little pillars

here is what we are talking about from the november Freeze, and part of the reason I disklike his attitude:

'My steez requires a doorag. From a fashion standpoint, the doorag helps to bring out the lighter tones in my ski clothes. I rep the fresh Oakley softgoods with darker tones. A splash of white and red off the hip brings balance to an ensemble that might otherwise get lost in the trees when I am busting huge air. This technique is also seen in New York, where street ballers rock the doorag to make sure photographers don't lose them int he chain link fence when they're throwing down the nasty shit on their weak-ass friends.
And the doorag isn't just some random rag I pulled out of the sock drawer, either. It is my comp bib from the 2002 US Open. That was the comp where I served notice to the skiing world that Dumont Domination was at hand.
Finally, after years of skiing with the doorag, it has become an essential tool. My rotations and tweaks are like nothing the ski world has ever seen, and they require a unique kind of counterweight... helps me slow my rotations and provides precious ounces off my spinning axis that help me contort in ways other skiers only dream of. So, laugh at the doorag is you must. I won't be able to hear you over the screaming crowd proclaiming my greatness.'

There are multiple things in those couple of paragraphs that make me hate his guts, but I will let someone else share their tirade.

I like watching these guys ski, for sure. Unfortunately, though, I think these kids, like simon dumont, need to grow up a little and find their own identity. There are many other ways to dress which look good and express who you are. Okay, if he likes to dress that way, thats fine. But it seems like every kid on the mountain nowadays is rockin matching XXL puffy coats and cargo pants. And as far as doo rags go-Theyre just not cool.

simon is one helluva skier, but his attitude really shows his age. If he is going to be a professional skier he has to set a good example and represent himself well, I see this in a lot of little young skiers that have that talent to back up their mouth...and its just too bad, because i just wont give it the time of day.
The thing i hate the worst, and i mean worst, is when some young kid is killing it, then starts spraying at the mouth. I remember this kid from out of town last year in the park standing at the top and beaking off to a bunch of other skier kids...i rolled over smacked him upside the head and told him to cool his jets before i did myself...that shut him up real good and fast.
Just ride and let your skills define who you are, not your mouth. So all you kids out there that want to be like dumont, good for you, hes a great skier, just dont let your mouth run wild. Ski for yourself.
