did a trick in the pipe yesterday....Picture going off the skiers right wall, taking my right hand, reaching under my skiis and grabbing my left ski in front of the binding and tweaking it. Apparently it looks good....but no one knew what it is called. Any ideas?

Sounds like the japan grab, but that may be where you grab behind the binding if that makes any difference.

I know what your talkin bout. Basically a safety with your right hand going under your ski and grabbing left side.
A 'pollard' is also just as much a Turpin as anything and I've started to bring into things, but those guys pioneered it. It's basically an attempt to grab as high up as you can on your ski but not rocket style. You've seen it Jess. Ask Turpin he'll have the answer to your grabs name. CT is the shizzy.

i've done that a few times, not in the pipe though. nobody can get air on our pipe at sunburst, it sucks.
i got an idea for a new grab i call the seatbelt. you tuck, dont cross your skis at all, and you take your right hand, cross your body and grab the left edge of your left ski near the binding.

ok im confused. Do u put ur right arm under ur right ski and grab the left ski? or is it just like a japan but u grab in front of the binding instead of the back? If thats what it is im pritty sure its called a critical grab but i could be wrong.

Hey Jess. At the end of last season, on Whistler Dana, Ryan, Turpin etc. were doing that grad with corked spins, I forget what they called it though.
