We are using our stimulus check to get a new computer at my mom's house. I need you guys' help to find a good computer for me.
Here's what I need:
I don't do much gaming, so video card and shit like that aren't very important to me (the only game I play often is age of empires).
I want it to convert videos for my ipod fast(VERY IMPORTANT).
Hard drive space isn't very important because i have an external drive.
Plenty of USB ports
It's OK if it comes with a monitor because my mom wants a new one any way.
WINDOWS XP! (I could buy it, though)
A DVD burner, but I could buy and install that myself also.

you should build one man you'll get the most for your money and its surprisingly easy, im sure there are lots of guides on the net, but i've built a few and could walk you through everything you need if you wanted.
all the companies that make computers get paid to preload a shit ton of software and apps on all the computers they make so the computers already run slower than they should right out of the box.
but if you must i would go with dell or hp you can custom make them on their sites to suit your needs

My mom doesn't want a mac. It's her money so there's nothing I can do about that.
