Step-Up Hip

I was wondering if any mountain has ever built a step up hip transfer. it seems do-able. I don't know if it would be worth using the snow. If anyone has a pic, that would be great.

that was one of the 5 features at the JO super sessions.. massive step up hip. i think lots of the riders had speed issues though.

it would think that it would be pretty hard to construct. Getting a nice hip set up is hard enough but to put it even higher for a step up might be too much...  It would definitly be a sick feature though if there was some good terrain to set it up on.

there was a step-up hip built in one of the canyons near timberline many summers ago. there's footage of sage, pep, and maybe luke van valin hitting it in the movies that year (or is that another step-u hip where van valin wrecks on a 10). anyone remember this? it was summer 2001 or something like that. maybe pep just had a sequence in a magazine from it or a shot in a tgr film.
