I've been researching bindings for new skis next season, mostly rossi axial2's. I've noticed that the higher end axials, like the free 150, have a worm screw. Could somebody tell me what this is exactly, or post pictures, it would be helpful.
worm screw is an adjustment method. Under the heel, for lack of a better word there's a screw that can be infinitely adjusted to fit your boot and fix forward pressure. The other method commonly used is tab adjustment which the heel moves forward and back on tabs similar to a zip tie. Both work fine but theoretically you get a more precise and responsive fit from worm screw
