I'm really bored and don;t have a lot of money this summer. I was thinking about writing to companies I like and saying how much I like their product, and maybe theyll send some to me for free? anyone ever done this?

I got t-shirts from a skating company, I'm sure you could get something from a company. Make the letter GOOD though.

just come up with a template letter, fill in the name of the company and send it to as many companies as possible

i used to do this all the time...just hit up all the companies you can think of. It's so satisfying to get free stuff in the mail.

Wow terrible idea. Noone do this please, it'll just ruin it for those of us who aren't too lazy to come up with a thoughtful letter.

I've gotten some free stickers from Spy and Monster. Nothing amazing but it's still cool to get shit hand addressed for free from some of your favorite companies. I just went to the contact us sections on there websites and emailed.

i did it with a fly fishing company and got like 50 bucks worth of sick flies and my friends have done it with other companies so it usually works, just write a really nice letter and don't ask for free shit, they'll just send it if they like the letter

we had to write a bussines letter to a company in the 5th grade, so my friend wrote it to Sum 41's record label people and they sent him a Sum 41 album signed with all of their signatures. pretty sweet.
