Speeding ticket help

k so i was at work waaay late last night. didnt get off till 2am and just wanted to get home. so in my haste i happen to get pulled over for going 60 in a 45. so how contestable is this? the ticket says my speed was recorded by pace, which i guess means he drove by my car and recorded the speed. i mean i know its worth contesting cuz the cop may not show in which case i get off, but if he does show what kinda stuff do i gotta do to get this erased? def dont wanna get parents involved

ah dude that sucks, im pretty sure going 15 over the limit is considered negligent driving as well. i dont know what you can do as far as contesting it though. i think the only think you can do is man up and take the hit right in the place where it hurts

nah its just speeding. i was caught 18 over last year and it was just speeding. but seriously i need some help on getting outta this. i dont wanna be out $100 plus insurance

well see i didnt get outta the last one cuz its damn near impossible as a minor. now that im 18 thou i wanna know what i should do in court. whether or not a lawyer is worth it, and what the chances are that the cop just wont show

yeah i know. he had been following a ways behind me and i just took him for a regular car cuz it was dark i and was tired and couldnt tell

yesterday i was pulled over going 52 in a 35, so 17mph over. i didnt have my license on me, and had alcohol in the car... (im 17) but since i looked respectable and was extremely lucky, i only got a written warning.

I could be completely off base here, but if he was pacing you that means he has to show up to court for proof that you were speeding. Just go to court and hope the cop doesnt' show. Even if he does just bring your parents and dress up real nice and suck up to the judge. Maybe he'll let you out of it, you're still young.

usually with pace tickets its hard to argue with them, because theres nothing you can say to be like the radar wasnt calibrated right blah blah blah

dont wanna tell the parents for two reasons: it was my second ticket, and i got family coming in for graduation and dont really want this ugly ticket hangin over the festivities. def gonna contest cuz nothing bad can happen if i do

It's a ticket man. Your parents got them when they were younger and I'm sure your relatives got them. It's not like you were arrested for drunk driving or some shit like that. Plus I bet you're still on their insurance right? They're gonna find out sooner or later, if you don't get the ticket erased from your file.

well where i was, there is a huge steep down hill followed by a long pain-in-the-ass up hill so i was just trying to carry my speed. i usually try to be pretty careful with stuff like that

im so fucking pissed, i did 8 hours of driving yesterday and the way up to stowe i was keeping it below 10 mph over the limit, so i was at 75 going down a hill and didn't pay attention to my speedometer, hit 86 mph and of course the one time of the whole trip i go above 80 i get pulled over.

the cop was pretty chill but she still gave me a ticket for 80, even though she clocked me at 86.. but in massachusetts if your under 18 and get any speeding ticket, your license is taken away for 3 months.. i'm definitely going to try and contest because i don't want to lose my license for the whole summer but she also caught me speeding with a laser.. which is was more accurate than a radar gun.
