Groin injury causes lump?

At the beginning of the season, I injured my groin while skiing. I could barely walk right for like a month afterwards and there was a large bruise running down the inside part of my thigh. I went to the doctor and he said the best thing I could do was take it easy, and I did and once it felt better, I started skiing again. Recently, I found a hard, painless lump on my groin, the size of a golfball right at the top part of my inner thigh, and it is only there when I flex the muscle. I AM GOING TO THE DOCTOR in a couple of hours, but I decided to ask in here if anyone knows what this could be. Im thinking it is scarring from the injury, and I cant push it back in like a hernia, but thats what my parents think it could be. I tried googling it but could not find anything useful for a lump as big as mine.

i was thinking it might have been a hernia but hernias arent hard.. painless yes most of the time but by no means hard.. as a matter a fact ive got one right now but im in fucking europe for 6 months and i need surgery two days after i come home yay!!!!!!!.. update us on this though... im not sure what it could be other than a hernia...

Yeah it is only there when i tighten the muscle, and how hard it is depends on how hard I flex.

just head back to the doc man, it's prolly nothing to be worried about, but with all the varied things a lump can be, its worth ckecking out.

I can read. Not everybody who asks about knees and other injuries seeks professional help.

Just got back from the doctor, its not a hernia, he is sure of that. He is sending me to a surgeon with the diagnosis of "questionable calcified hematoma". I guess I will find out more from them.

a lump usually occures wen ur muscle has a knot in it. I had one of those on my calf muscle wen i tore it. go 2 a physio not a doctor?

if you tear your muscle very bad it can make a lump. Its like a rubber band and if it is torn off completly it balls up at the end that didnt tear away. This does cause any problems. But im not a doctor or anythings so thats just a random guess.

Sounds like a sports hernia. Ask your doctor.
