I broke my back filming for lss in bear mountain. I had tio get 5 vertabrae fused together and didnt know if I'd be able to shred during the next season. I did a whole bunch of rehad as soon as I was allowed to and was able to ski on opening day here in Qc. Since I'm not a big name in this industry, it was really hard for me to get any budget to travel and shoot with anyione since I didnt know what to expect for the winter. So I kept it on the dl in Qc and filmed a bunch with some friends (mistic land -beaver tale, outline-drop concrete and NWP- 07 project)
I also took the time to get some more stuff done with school and since I didnt have much more $$ this year I decided to finish school as fast as possible and had to teach gym full time as part of my school program.
I got some good filming opportunities in the early season so I jumped on that to get as much done as fast as possible. I switched from atomic to moment when my contract ended since I really liked the whole vibe with this company. This move gave me and extra boost and teh desire to shred even more. Basically, the support I got from moment and the vibe around them got me so excited about skiing again. Since I wasnt done with school yet I spent all my week ends traveling in Qc to film, shoot, compete and attend various events to see the kids who are out there shredding.
As soon as I got done with school ( like in a mater of hour) I jumped on a plane to go on a west coast expedition to see the moment guyz, the dos media dudes and to participate in varuious shoot and atend the WCS.
Hopefully next year will be as fun as this winter and I'll be able to spend even more time out there to film and hopefully lear more about ridingm bigger mountains and various snow condition.
