I live in lake Placid and every year the Iron man coems. Its crazy thoes guys are in such good shape, a guy i work with is doing his second, last year he got like 240th place or something i think. He also trains all the time
swimming ehh on the swim team and shit so not really problem
running no problem i am a cross couuntry runner
biking never went on a road bike before but doesnt seem hard
I did a couple and they didnt go like i planned. I have raced MTB for 3 years and am going to college on a full ride for swimming I also did cross country all through middle and high school. I finished swimming in less then half the time as the winner but when we got on the bikes i got so tired from constant spinning and he killed me then i couldnt make it up on the run. The place that people near the top that win is the transactions between the different events keep those times low. Good Luck
id love to do them but i honestly sink. im the slowest swimmer that i blow the whole thing. but they're pretty fun, get some little things for your shoes. im trying to think of what they are called but you put your laces through them and you can just press the button and slide it down to tighten your shoes, should save you some time when your getting your shit on. watch out for crotch rashes, shit sucks, and go fast, best of luck
i was thinking about this thread while i was at the gym last night...(yea i really don't have much else to think about when on the eliptical for an hour)
and ive decided to do a triathalon. im thinking a sprint or one step up? i swim almost everday (im a swim instructor) and i run a few times a week. ive got a road biike.
so i was thinking, all i need to do is add in a bike session or two a week? maybe amp up what im doing right now?
