so im looking for a new set of irons. im a very solid player so im looking for something with a minimal cavity back and more toward the forged feel. does anyone hit irons like these? if anyone hits anything relating to this type of iron let me know. really looking at the x-forged but i dont wanna spend a grand. any suggestions would be awesome. thanks NS
if your willin to go used thats always an option
the mizuno's are really nice my freind had a pair just like you described.( sorry i cant remeber the exact model)
my dad just picked up some brand new taylormade burners for around $700. the club head is a little bigger, but he said he can shape shots really nicely on them and they've got a lot of feel to them. plus if you do happen to get a bad hit, they are still somewhat forgiving.
i hit them and they're nice but i'm not THAT GOOD so my opinion wouldn't be much to give haha.
i play on my highschool team as a sophmore and i have taylormade rac irons i think there the 06 set but it gives the ball a very high and far trajectory also they have a nice feel

you're best bet is to demo/rent a set of clubs. everyone has their own opinion about clubs, it doesnt matter what it is, some people will like the clubs, others not. of coarse there are some that a majority do/dont like, but for you personally demoing is the way to go. try to get a pair of used clubs from a store, then try them out. if you dont like them, clean them n take them back
no idea how much a set of hogan apex-edge blades will set you back, but they are what i have in my bag, and i'd be willing to bet you'd enjoy playing with them too.
