Video wont play in premiere HELP NEEDED QUICK

so my premeiere has been working fine for a while now
and now whenever i import videoes its fine
i can like double clik them to bring them to the source window
or drag them to the timeline and i can see the first frame and scrub through the whole thing
but when i hit spacebar or hit play nothing happens
and i really need to know cause i was gonna edit my friends skate promo tomorow at school

like close the program and restart it?
did it.
and i also render in comp to see if that worked
but it was a no go.

oooh ooh. i had this problem a while ago. I'll try to remember what i did to fix it. I feel like i might've just restarted my computer.

hmmm... maybe try making a new project? im not sure if that would help at all but i guess it's worth a shot.

didnt think of that but no it didnt work either
does anyone know the player that premiere uses to play stuff?
i have a feeling its quicktime or something and im thinking maybe if i just reinstall that it will work.
im just trying to avoid reinstalling premiere cause thats a lot of work

dont need help anymore
i just left it alone and gave up for a while thinking id have to reinstall.
then i just opened the same project again and it randomly works now.
i didnt do anything but yeah happy haha
