Do you guys wear any pads or guards?

What pads, if any do you wear to ski in the park?

My shins and hips took a beating in my first season. I was trying to fin my old football pads to protect my hips, is there anything better? What about for shins, I have what I think are good boots called Lange Fluid 80 FR. Or do you just have wait for the nerves in your shins to slowly die?

Also, what about for the undercarriage? I don't mean a jock and a cup I mean something to protect against getting your balls getting hit if you fall and straddle a rail.

i wear a lid and crash pads.
However what kind of back pads does everyone wear. or is there only one kind. I might want to buy one as long as if its not one of those big and burley one the BC gods wear.

i've been in rail jams before where everyone sees me pop my mouthguard in and out and if they ever say anything, it's that they wish they had one and it's a really smart idea

I wear a helmet that I just broke and a slytech back protecter.  It's soft and gets hard on impact so it's unrestricting.

helmet and padded shorts ftw! seriously saved my life/ major bruising several times!


also back protecter - mine gets hot and sweaty so if i know i won't be in the park all day/ learning new stuff then i won't wear

I often wear a helmet and always wear a knee stabilizer. I was also supposed to wear a mouth guard when competing but never did.

If you are skiing some gnarly big mountain shit, back protection might be worth it.

I wear a helmet, and have never really considered wearing anything else. I wear a helmet and shin/knee guards for riding DH

i thought that too for a while, and made fun of my friend for wearing crashpads until i tried them. they make a big difference.

i have some thick cotton underwear type of shorts that my grandma made me with some padding on the sides and under my ass. i use them for biking but ive realized that falling on a rail, they help alot to prevent the massive bruises ive had in the past

helmet and my gloves have knuckle pads for when i hit trees

I always wear a helmet. I just recently started wearing crash pad shorts and they are amazing. I also sometimes wear custom thumb braces.

HA, i think you would be surprised to learn how many pros wear more than just a helmet

I'd much rather be viewed as a pussy for wearing a spine protector and a helmet than to not wear them at all. Saved myself many times. I think the harder you start pushing the sport the more you realize how important protective gear is for saving yourself from season ending injuries/ your ski career...

I usually wear like under armour compression pads, by Seirus, they are so light weight but work awesome

only a helmet but after a bad urban fall and not progressing at all in 3 seasons, i think i'm gonna start wearing hip pads or whatever

nahh but seriously, i just wear asspads and a helmet. i actually bought shin/knee pads but they cut off circulation so my boots werent comfy haha

Helmet and hip pads and even though i have never had any really bad knee injuries i wear knee braces too.  Better to be called a pussy and ski than to be called a man and miss a season because of it.
