fuck. i thought they didnt make it anymore. i heard and when i was checking similars on ebay they confirmed. this is a nice old head, someone that plays lax know whats the deal?
ya they did stop making them but they made enough for them to still be in circulation so they are not that "rare" but a good solid head i know because iv had one before. Did you know that in 2010 all off set heads and shafts are going to be illegal?
all of them starting with collages then working down not sure about pro though im pretty sure they are just doing it to get more money so they can make new heads i know cause one of my freinds dads is one of the head refs for the ncaa
wow that is retarteddd....why would they kill the evolution of the game...that is like saying parabolic skis are no longer produced we have to have straight skis...my own oppinion
first of all that blows, because for 10 years the game has revolved around product development directed towards the greatest legal advantage...... even though i still prefer the quicker release of straight heads, i do like off set shafts , they five my game a few handling advantages, and new shot angles.
I do not think lax companis are in line with this, if it is even true, because they have spent millions on product design and research, presses, molds marketing and the such. For them to be forced to go back to basics will mean many millions, if not billions have been wasted. Also, it doesn't really allow for any technical upgrades like bending heads that flex more when pressured or anything like that.......throat size, top measurements, sidewall design, weight and pocket choice will be the only options that are changeable, greatly limiting technological advancements........it will become a battle for best looking head, as to the most advanced head as it currently is.
I do not believe they have made this change, mainly for 2 reasons. 1) i strongly disagree with it and choose not to believe it
(2) i cannot find any info on it, and NCAA rule changes are always documented immedaiately, as with the dive crease rule in 97 or 98
i find it hard to believe they are going to outlaw offset heads. it doesnt make sense. offset heads bring more excitement, goals, and therefore more viewers.
you wouldnt be able to find it my freinds dad is the highest ref in the ncaa and he knows when shit goes down he told us when the glove rule was coming in to effect and the next year it happened so i believe him.
well, we'll see. Sounds so dumb to me, the level of play is going to go down the tubes. The best in the NCAA have played their whole lives with off-set heads, i know many that have never done any more than toss it around with straight heads. Now they will have to try to relearn the game..... the shots they have been perfecting since they were 14 will not work right anymore, god this is dumb.
and what i'm saying is that if the NCAA already made a decision to implement the policy, it would be documented immediately. With the dive rule, they made a decision in the middle of a season to take effect the following year, but the rule change was documented immediately to give teams and coaches the necessary heads up to make the proper changes. I bet if you look up the glove rule changes, they were documented when the decision was made, not the following year when they went into effect.
If in fact thsi decision had already been decided, it would have documentation to follow. Something like this could have a great possibility of happening, but it is not set in stone as of yet, or there would be complaints on every lax forum, which they're is not.
these are relatively hard to find and a couple kids on my div1 high school vsquad have been buying these up ....they are great with a nice flared pinch
They do not make this head anymore.. This is the original and it is the best.. this is one of the best or the best faceoff/middie head known. Someone needs to get this, they are dope. The blade is the most flexible head i have ever seenn..
Yea i also heard about the offset head issue they reason why they were thinking of doing this is beacuse they think that the heads are making the game to easy for players so they want to get rid of them so this becomes a harder sport to play and make things more competitive.
The change is true but its not going to be to that extent. The heads are going to be a little bit wider and a little bit less offset. not completely old school
that's total bullshit. i never want to give up my evo pro, we're all gonna be using those original brine heads from like 1970 with completely solid sidewalls
As a goalie, I also feel that this rule is bullshit. The best part of the game is seeing some of the tougher shots made, which with a non-offset head will virtually end.
same reason they stop making heads every year..... marketing and sales gimmicks..... if the same cars were produced year after year, what would be the reason for buying a new one? they now have the blade "face-off edition" and 1 other special edition that are still being manufactured.
The reason they stopped making this blade is because it would always break at the neck of the head.. So they discontinued it and made a new better one.. this is still a great head. no hate on the thread intended
so i was talking to my buddy who plays for notre dame, they just got their ass kicked, shitty.. buttt he said that it is indeed true they are going to outlaw offset heads. there are a couple reasons. 1 they think, and i agree, that any athletic person can pick up and dominate lacrosse very easily, partly due to the offset heads being so advanced. they want it more of a challenge to become nasty. with this they want more team play and passes, cuts, plays instead of players dekeing everyone and rippin nasty shots. shooting will be harder so you will need to put yourself into better positions to score. this will force more advanced and intricate play.
lax shit is going for so much on e-bay right now. i just got over $100 for an old dyed hype. check this auction, thought you would be excited to see it. http://cgi.ebay.com/Rare-Warrior-Blade-custom-strung-lacrosse-head_W0QQitemZ130222204680QQihZ003QQcategoryZ62165QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
