hahahaha...no... my mustang (RWD) when in the snow is horrible. even with decent tires the back wheels spin like crazy. reason is the car is to light with too much power plus its RWD
honestly, if you didn't know that a gli was front wheel drive you don't need/deserve such a dope car. just get a normal jetta. or if you want something better in the snow get a subaru impreza or something.
If you know how to handle a car and don't drive like an idiot it'll be fine. Look at all the people with 2wd trucks that have even less weight over the rear axle that make it through the winter.
