Griffon vs PX 12 on EP Pros

I'm looking for a 12din binding, I usually ride at 8.5 - 9.
I can get the PX12s for $160, Griffons are $250. I currently use PX12s and I'm happy with them but a little worried about the narrow mounting pattern on a fatter ski like the EP. The Griffons don't look too bad but they're more expensive and I'm still a bit hesitant about getting on Marker bindings, I've got a couple of buddies who have blown Jesters pretty quickly.
A bit of help would be appreciated.

PX12 isn't a narrow pattern. Get them and save $90.

you even get a burlier PX/axial for cheaper than those giffons.

I thought the Griffon would be a wider pattern because its specifically for a wide ski?
I ripped my PX12s out of my AK Enemies, which is the whole reason I was considering something wider. If there's no big difference I'll definately go with the PX12

im not sure how you ski but px's shouldnt have ripped out of ak's, or any ski, if mounted properly. now, i would recomment the griffons because 2 reasons, (1) these bindings are made for EPs and wide skis. (2) ive never had any good experiences with PX's, so im kinda biased...

I skied FKS bindings in my EP Pros all season. Narrowest heel hole pattern out there. Skied hard, the skis took a beating, and nothing ever ripped out. If you're worried about it, heli coil from the begining.

Its not that hard to rip out bindings. In the last 2 years alone I've ripped px-12's out of fisher addicts and rossi scratches 5 times... once with helicoils. I love px-12's but personally if they are going to be used on powder skis I would probably go for something with a higher din.. not sure of griffons really do have a wider mounting stance but if they do it couldn't hurt. Everything I've heard about the new Markers is good but haven't personally tried them.
