Canon HV30 on a Mac

I'm planning on buying an HV30 but i already realize that i'm gonna need to buy a new editing program (im still using iMovie) I have 2 gigs of Ram so that should be enough power to use the HD but what program can i actually edit with HD. I know in Final Cut Pro you can and im willing to buy that if need be cuz i'll use it forever but if final cut express can use HD footage id be more inclined to buy that. PLEASE HELP!! Thanks!

you can use imovieHD (2006 version) works fine. you can also use premier Pro Cs3, Final Cut Express and FInal Cut pro

If you have tiger version 10.4 then you should try Final cut Express HD 3.5 because its pretty good at a low price, search it at macworld i think they know a site selling it at $140
but don't get it if you have leopard, its not compatible.

just torrent final cut man. or download the premier cs3 trial on adobe's website and then find a serial online and it should work. i reccomend final cut though (its personal prefrence at that high level of software)

i have hv30, best investment ever, runs like a gem on mac.

IMO hv30's black, zoom toggle, 30p mode, better screen all make it worth the extra money. hv20 zoom toggle was a bitch, cant use it at al

final cut is probably the best wat to go but iMovie HD 2006 aint bad if you want to save the money
