this weekend im building a dropin and a rail with my dad and three or four friends


so i have an area thats about 10 feet wide and 45 ft long,
first question is is that long enough for dropin and 15 foot flat down rail?

second question, ive made rails before but never a kink, so how do you smooth out the actual kink after connecting the two pvc pipes?

third question,  would a 4 ft high dropin with 6 foot long ramp get me enough speed for a 15 ft flat down rail?

last question,  do you curve the parts of the dropin where it goes from a slope to just flat, or does it really matter?

yes that is enough room, and i would say you should just make the down part like a inch lower than the flat part, i would probely make the drop a little higher maybe like 5 feet but i dont know how high your rail is and is there any hill other than the drop in.  Are you using this ramp with snow or in the summer.  Cause if its in the summer with no snow you do want to curve or lessen the angle of it depending on the steepness of the down part

ok thank you, i already made the height of it 4-4.5 ft high, so thats staying at that. im putting it on just a tiny bit of a down slope ( maybe like 5 degrees), and its in the summer so i guess i will have to make a curve becuase its a pretty steep angle (like 45ish, give or take a few degrees).  and one more question.

i think im going to do a 4 inch wide rail using 6 1 in x 10 ft pvc pipes, im going to use 4 for the down part, and cut the other two in half and use those four pieces for the flat part.  should i make the flat part of the rail 2ft tall or 3ft tall?

2ft is much better than three, mine is 1.5ft and works well you can still spin off it fine

i would say 2ft if your drop in is like 4 cause you would have a hard time getting enough speed to get on to the rail if it was 3 feet
