Good first car?

i need a good first car, but my parents have some restrictions:

must have:
   4 wheel drive
   Wagon

Any suggestions?

You can't beat the performance of a Sube though. I would rather sacrifice looks for performance and reliability. Besides, if you drive a Sube people tend to look past the looks anyway.

toyota used to make a wagon in the early 90's that could get through anything. i made it up a hill in it that i got stuck on in a bulldozer. it was ugly as hell though.

b5 audi a4 avant for sure, get the 1.8t engine, its the best out of all them, and the easiest to mod. subaru wagons are too slow, unless its a wrx wagon.

I got my first car for an 87 yamaha dirt bike and it lasted three weeks so just make sure your buy is worth it.

Diesel's get better MPG. But right now with gas prices in general it isn't worth it.
