Nine Inch Nails just released their newest CD on their website (http://theslip.nin.com/), and you can download it for free! What's especially cool is that it was released with under a creative commons license... meaning you won't get sued by any record companies for using it in a video, and the like. So far, I'm liking it a lot, but it's not quite up to par with Year Zero. "Head Down" is especially cool. I know that most people here listen to pop and rap, but give this a chance... it's arguably pop, anyway. And it's FREE!!

Yup... Trent Reznor is a busy man. Two albums (one with 36 tracks) in two monthes. Not to mention Year Zero was released just over a year ago.
I do have a slight problem with the new record. It's a bit too organized when compared to past NIN albums. It kind of lacks the little nuances and subtlties that made their past CDs (The Downward Spiral and The Fragile specifically) so good. I'm sure it has something to do with the speed at which he's releasing albums now that he had finally managed his way out of any record deals... maybe Trent just didn't take as much time to polish the songs. Nevertheless, new Nine Inch Nails is better than no Nine Inch Nails... and the record is still goddamn good.
