So im looking for a new powder skis cause i out grew my elizabeths... whats new. I wanted a flexy powder ski thats gets it all done. I was checking out the Thugs as a prospect but im not sure about the flex. Can you guys help me out?? Im 5"11 and weigh around 145.
fdlex it as soft as beth's but a tad softer. they will handle anything. they were my ski for the season.butter great, so floaty.your weight should be good. buy them
how much do you weight? whats your hieght ? which size are you buying? not that i don't want people to buy the ski but i blew one ski apart(layer wise) from buttering. it had a pressure crack
I'd put the flex somewhere close to a JP vs Julien, perhaps a little stiffer underfoot. Still a pretty soft ski overall. And they are quite light for their size. I used 192s as my everyday ski this year, they were decent, but the turning radius was a bit on the long size.
I thought about getting a pair of skis similar to thugs. I wasn't aware that they are as playful as everyone says they are. Where do you guys mount yours? and for what style of riding.
im 5' 11 and weight about 150 give or take 5lbs by next season ill probably be 6ft. I would get the 181's. that sucks that you broke yours, did they warranty?
To be honest i'd be more inclined to get something like a JP vs Julien. I mean thugs are sick, but they are pretty specific. Jp's are pretty straight and soft, but thugs are even more straight.
I just think JJ's would be more versatile and just as good as a powder/ BC ski. Btw im talking about this years JJ not the new one thats rockered and such. You can still carve and stuff on JJ's, which i think would be pretty hard to do on Thugs considering the turn radius is almost 40m.
yes, sweet coat rack indeed.
I used them everyday to the max, only got 45 days on them, but they were used, used on groomers, ice, pow and 30 gaps of verticle air. they are extremely hard to turn at fast speeds on ice and groomers, so be ready
yea, its super sketch, you cant make quick turna, i tried doing an actual race course on them, i just died, they cant hold edges that well.
I had the fattest skis there, my prophet 90s' were 3rd fattest and my friends beths were 2nd, good stuff
