Hey y'all... Anyone ridden the new JJ's? I am really looking into getting a pair. I have ridden Armada since the first model came out, and I have stayed loyal throughout the years. THe edges have always chipped, but I have never had any big problems with them. I really would like to buy a pair of the JJ's. I know the graphics aren't that dece, but the ARG's are just way to big. ANybody have any information and could help me out.

not many people have ridden the new jj which is a completely redesigned ski with reverse sidecut and rocker in one length 185.

Personally If I was going for a 115 waisted ski Id go with the Moment Bibby Pro or the LIne Bacon.But thats purely because Im skeptical of the reverse sidecut which I guess would limit its versatility and then if I wanted something more pow specific Id get a Hellbent/ Ep Pro ; ie something fatter.

But I dont know shit cos Ive never ridden a reverse sidecut ski.

i talked to a rep and he said they are still like the old jjs on rockerd and ski a little different on groomers

im pretty sure the new jjs don't have as much reverse sidecut as the args, think of it as just an early taper.

The whole idea of the new JJ is that you won't need 2 skis for that stuff, the shape makes it float and the sidecut makes it still carve.
They also come in 175.

I also talked to someone and they had told me that, they are now easier to ride on groomers as well

It feels exactly the same as the last one; same flex, same weight.   Just a tiny bit of rocker.

if i remember right these do NOT have reverse sidecut..  just rocker.  and a 115 waist.

On the new summer camp update, TJ is on a pair of the new JJ's....

He only ever seems to ride the best skis each year. Last year being the pipe cleaner, this year being the JJ. Does anyone have any more information on dem skis?

I really want to pick up a pair this year... just they never demo these skis, and I wanna make sure I am making the right choice. I am sure either way, as I have been a loyal customer since the beginning.

I'm also not too stoked on the graphic, but thats the least of my worries. I'll get em tuned up anyways.

personally i think these are some of the sickest boards coming out in 09. think of an ARG (for powder) that does well on groomers too and slays BC jumps. if i ever move somewhere with real snow i'm pretty sure i'd get these. not to mention sick graphics

I have heard from a lot of people that they are easy to ride on groomers too, but I wanna hear the truth from someone who has ridden them.

I talked to him about them last week. He said they were amazing on the slush, which is all he really rode up there. He wasn't hitting jumps though because of his injury, so he just lapped and coached. I think he mentioned that they carved really well...

no they're like praxis where they have reverse sidecut within the normal sidecut, so the ski keeps the same shape but has reverse in the middle for flotation

They didn't look as fat or rockered or reverse sidecutted as an ARG or most pow skis. They were fat, but not monstrous. He didn't describe any of this, that was just my observation.

i think its in the EP pro and hellbent catagory.. just think, 130 - ish underfoot and rocker in the tip and tails.. should be pretty popular next year

We have a demo pair in the shop, everyone who demoed them last year came back into the shop saying they will buy a pair, and they love 'em. I had park skiers try them, and big mtn. skiers ski them and all kinds loved this ski. we will have them later this month! so check 'em out, if you buy them you won't regret it!

They'll be a sick ski and I'm sure everyone will want a pair, but most of the kids on here ski park, groomers, and not so much natural terrain. SO they will be popular, but I think most people aren't prepared to drop all that coin on these skis.
