I'm debating between those two skis myself. I currently have Fujitives, which are too soft in my opinion for outside of the park. I'm curious whether the extra width of the Anthem counter-acts the softness. I'm kind of leaning towards the Walls at this point. I'd also assume that any durability issues with this years will be solved on next years model.
So, from what I've read, the Anthem still rips outside the park... what about the extra width in the park? How are they on jumps?
2 very different skis, 1 soft 1 stiff, and neither have that great quality but i've heard volkl has better quality than line, well i know line has poop quality from first hand experience
a worn in anthem compared to a worn in fujative is pretty stiff, at least in my own experiences. anthems with the butter zones are kinda funky, its like they are stiff-ish, until you really lay into them, thats when they bend like crazy but not untill then. fujatives however, i rode my friends for one run and they seemed crazy soft, especially the noses and right behind the bindings. this might differ from person to person, but its what ive found. hope that helps...
Yeah, the Fujitives have a super noodly nose and tail, but they're rather stiff under foot. Which is fun for a while, but I agree with other people's accounts of them loosing camber. And, I'm just tired of them flopping around at high speeds when I just feel like cruising. And they can't hold an edge on ice... at all--which is a problem 90% of the time here in MN.
From your review though, it sounds like the Anthems are nice and stable at speed, and still hold an edge (because of the butter zones) well on ice.
I'm just really hesitant about soft skis after two years of the Fujitives...
im not sure if your supporting the walls here or not.. 20 days is nothing if u ask me... i put like 40 days on my anthems and the only thing ive notices is topsheet chipping (which i dont give a fuck a bout).. but 20 days?... thats not very long
i too have like 40 days on my anthems and theyve held up pretty well. theres a good size slice in my topsheet thats causing it to delam a bit, but nothing terrible. they ski much stiffer than they feel, but still super buttery, good torsional stiffness
