Very smart.  You would just need a good transition at the bottom and turf after the drop in so you'd have some control.

just put astro turf on the drop in and soap it, control would be really difficult on pvc.

it would work im pretty sure but at the end u might want astroturf, but pvc for most of it

you probably wont want to have pvc the whole way to the rail because you wont be able to hold an edge at all

this is what i do except i dont have PVC's on a drop in i just put it down a hill. and i have turf on the transtion and jump because you have no control on PVC, it takes a little while to get used to it too.

you will have to pay more money that way because you will need quite a few pvc pipes. i would just buy some astroturf you will have more control that way and it will be better in the winter.

na i got some around and there really small so you will have control but terf would be good at the end.

i guess if you already have some pipes, you might as well give it a try. it will probably be faster than a turf ramp, so you might not have to build it as high.

thats what i did, i had a bunch of like 2ft peices laying around and i put like 6 t of turf in the transtion and on the jump

this is what they do in the ski movies. you can see in the andreas et al urban night session that they use a metal foldable drop in, of which the actual ramp section is similar to a ladder. sounds like a good plan trying it with pvc pipe though. has anyone actually done it? pics?

alright so after reading this i got the idea, why not build a ladder out of 2x4's then wrap the rungs in turf. it would be much faster than just turf over plywood.

in fact i think im going to do this because i already have a 2x4 ladder that i used without the turf
ill get back on how it works

make sure you get the plasticy turf.  it is called jamica astro turf or sumphin and you see it at driving ranges.  same price and you don't need to use soap or anything just use some water
