Who do you think will win?

Both teams are tied at the top of the Premeirship table.. Should be interesting to see what happens.. seeing as it never has before.. (Two english clubs playing for Europe's club championship)

So I had to record the game and it only recorded up to the first 15 of OT so i didn't get to see the end.

Heres what I thought...

I thought the first half Man U really dominated keeping posession and getting opportunities but then the 2nd half came and Chelsea really stuck it to em.

I was actually impressed with Ronaldo for once when he started playing a little defense. I went to Europe to watch Man U play and I was not very impressed with what type of player Ronaldo was. (yes i think hes good on the ball, but if hes not getting back to help play defense hes not a team player.) When i saw him he was walking back. but yesterday he made some great runs up the sideline.

I was also VERY impressed with Tevez. When that guy is up front he works his balls off to get the ball back when Man U looses it. he put a lot of pressure on the Chelsea defenders making them not make the greatest of passes. This is what makes forwards great, not them on the ball but how they work off it. whether it be making runs or pressing to get the ball back.

and Rywill, I don't think Rooney is overrated at all. I don't think he gets enough credit, especially with everyone on Ronaldos nuts all the time. I didn't think he had the best touches on the ball yesterday, but he consistantly works hard and gets back to help his team defend.

first^ i agree with most of what you say, except tevez. he is a great player, ill give him that, but last night he sucked. he did fairly well off the ball, but not great, and when he had the ball or an opportunity to score, he blew it everytime except for the pk which i was suprised he made

second, terry. he played one of the best games ive ever seen him play. to say he blew it doesnt make sense because if he didnt play how he did the entire game, and make the game saving header, chelsea wouldnt have made it to OT

ronaldo...he blew it. i knew he'd miss and so did most other people that know anything about soccer. he's a great player 1v1, he moves around with the ball well, sets up plays, and is one of the best active players in the world. but the type of player he can be at times, it didnt suprise me that he missed. infact, most of us watchin the game all agreed before he even took the shot that he'd miss. as for the picture of him with the man purse, get over yourself dude. ronaldo is more of a man then you'l ever be. he's making money off advertising and its the european style dude. you're making fun of one of the most idolized figures in the world today because he's reppin a style that you don't see here in the us. get over yourself


the slap was stupid, but i agree with the ref's cards. he's trying to take control of the game so that more then just the slap didnt occur, which was a good move made by him. some of his calls were bs, i saw a few more go towards man u then chelsea, but generally he was fairly accurate and consistant.

completely agree with you. he's the one that made that cross from one corner to the opposite with ronaldo on the run late in the 1st half when man u almost scored with the diving header and then the shot. great saves by the goalie

Tevez did have a horrid match.  He just didn't look inspired at all, he had a few shots, most of which were directly to Cech chest.  I was really surprised that Ferguson took Rooney off instead of him.

Secondly, Wayne Rooney is completely overrated.  The one ball to Ronaldo that should have set up a goal by Tevez (yet another fuck up by that ugly motherfucker) was nice, but really what did he do other than that?  He got back to play defense well, but if you ever watch a few man u games you'll notice how many chances he misses.  He's a poor poor finisher.   There were a handful of matches this season where he should have had at least a few goals and came away with none.  I think people are generally disillusioned with him because of the hype when he came up so young.  Just my opinion.

And to whoever said Terry is a cunt you're ridiculous.  Terry is class.  A. It was the fucking shitty ass fields fault B. He saved the game for them when Giggs had basically an open goal and he somehow got a head on it.  While Ronaldo may be the best player in the world, he is a little bitch, nothing made me happier than when him and his fruity pk antics missed.

Fuck the big four anyway.  Villa is taking over.

I agree. Tevez was shite that game... he did finish his pk pretty well though.. I'll give him that.

Wayne Rooney is cool... he plays hard from what I've seen. Sure, he misses once in a while, but he is working his complete ass off for some of those open chances. I have a lot of respect to him. Hes still a fantastic player in my opinion.

As for Ronaldo? Hes such a fucking cunt... guy wins the CL... starts crying.. and then admits that he wants to leave and go to Real Madrid...

I dont care if its been your dream all your life, or what... if you're playing for a top class club like Manchester United, and you're asking to leave, you're a fuckin prick, and you should be sent to small romanian club or something as punishment for your retardedness...

Well, get your facts right.  He came on tv last night and said hes staying, he loves manchester.
And Tevez aint shit, never seen someone work so hard while playing for man united.  Just didnt finish his chances last night.  Ronaldo isnt a pussy, he just plays the opponent, and does it well, and cant really be shit.  First midfielder to score 30 goals in a premiership season.

tevez may not have finished his opportunities but i just like how the guy works. always trying to get involved.

Rooney didn't have a very good game but it doesn't mean hes not a good player. guy works hard and gets shit done most of the time.

rooney was taken off because he was playing more of an attacking midfielder than a forward and they wanted a stronger attacking presence at the end of the game to try to win it. just because he wasn't at the front of every attack means hes overrated? i think not. hes one of the hardest working guys on the field and is running all over the place setting other people up. hes better as an attacking mid than a true forward and so many people look past that just because hes not scoring all the goals like he used to

you cant keep judging these players having only watched them in the champions league final, to say rooney is overrated because he didnt set the place alight is ridiculous.

watch ronaldo week in week out, watch tevez, rooney, lampard, terry, drogba etc etc regularly and you'll see why the english league is the outsanding league in europe at the moment

Fuck off you wanker! I'll admit I've sometimes doubted Terry's ability in the past but last night proved to me that he truly is a great defender and captain, save the penalty miss. He's miles better than that coke-head Ferdinand or Vidic the dirty goon. Plus, he puts it all on the line for his team which is something that seperates the greats from the rest.

Ronaldo is also a huge dirty twat. The two best moments in the match were Carvalho's leg-breaker and seeing CR7 cry like a stupid bitch after he missed the penalty. He once again didn't do shit in a big game. Sure the finish was nice but half the players on the field could have put it away with that much time and space.

Messi and Kaka destroy Ronaldo. If I was picking a team I could think of at least 5 other players I'd take before that cheating, diving, crying Manc cunt.

Look, I know you don't like the guy, but give me a fucking break. Ronaldo had a far more significant impact on his team than either Kaka or Messi.

He led the Premiership in goals...and he's not even a striker. Do we even need to mention that Barca won no trophies this year and Milan were absolute garbage all season?

John Terry is a joke. plain and simple. He is a decent defender, but he is suuuuch a cock, that I was actually happy to see him do that. He in no way deserved to captain England, and to say that he is better than the 'coke head' Ferdinand, is silly really. Have you actually ever heard of some of the shit that John Terry was doing when he was younger?
Man U are currently the best team in the world right now and I feel that their double shows this as clear as day. Chelsea also need to get rid of Frank Lampard, cause he has definitely seen better days. They need to  pray that Drogba doesn't leave them.
REally the team to look out for next year is them gooners, we will surprise people. Mark my words.

Don't give me that ''he's not a striker'' bullshit, the guy never tracks back beyond the half way line. Almost all of Ronaldo's goals come against shit teams like Derby or Fulham. Plus, he wouldn't be scoring as much in Spain or Italy where teams actually defend properly, which is also where Messi and Kaka play.

Also, look at the teams surrounding them, Ronaldo is just profiting off of hard workers such as Rooney, Tevez, Park, Scholes, etc. Kaka plays on a Milan team who's average age is 1000 where as Messi's been injured all season and played with a washed up un-motivated Barca team. I'd have either of those two over CR7 any day.

Then there is the whole issue of CLASS. Which if you watched footy you'd know Ronaldo has none of. That's why he'll never be mentioned in the same breath as players like Ronaldinho, Essien, Maldini, Keane, etc. Watch that YouTube video I linked.

Basically, I respect Ronaldo's skill but I won't respect how he handles himself. He's a diving, cheating Manc twat. The only people who like him are Mancs and glory hunters.

I'll admit John Terry is a bit of a thug. The shit he's said and done (racism, bullying refs) is a fucking disgrace. But, he's way better than Rio any day and he is passionate about the game. Still, the best CB in the EPL is Carvalho.

And you're obviously just being bitter talking shit about Lampard. I'd only expect that from some sketchy Gerrard loving Scouse.

Nothing you've said so far has made me change my mind about Ronaldo.

I don't think I ever said Terry/Carvalho was better than Vidic/Rio. Can you really compare the two though? Vidic is a bloody goon though and Rio's brain cramps are of great comedic value. I don't think the Carvalho/Terry pairing got nearly as many games together due to injuries. Carvalho/Alex was a great pairing too.

Oh, and Essien is CFC's best player by far.

You're joking. The Premiership is arguably the best league in the world, top to bottom it is probably better than La Liga, and without a doubt better than the Serie A. Why don't we flip you're argument around. Look at Shevchenko, he ran up the score regularly in Italy and has done fuck-all since coming to England. I'm sure Ronaldo would do fine if you threw him in any of the Big 5.

And quite frankly, the whole argument that he's just banking off the hard work of other players is complete crap. He creates as many opportunities as he buries himself. And you're really downplaying the depth and talent of Milan and Barca compared to United? Give me a fucking break!

Not to mention if you actually watched him play rather than being a typical thick-headed homer, its fairly compelling that he has a very large impact on his team.

As for "class", that has nothing to do with talent. It's fine if you don’t like him personally, but to disregard his abilities on the field is just fucking stupid. Get over yourself.

As for Ronaldo being a diver, I think he's got better, he also does actually get fouled a lot. I would say Drogba is worse, partly because he's built like a tank yet seems to have the pain threshold of a four year old girl.

I have tons of respect for Man United, and I actually like them to an extent.. (seeing as I'm a Celtic fan anyway..) but for fucks sake, I've never seen such criminal dives as i've seen from Christiano. He doesnt seem to play to score, he plays for freekicks, and I hate players that do that. Plus, his whiny childish antics really get on my nerves.

I think they would be just fine if he went off and joined Real Madrid or some other Liga club to be honest.. Good riddance! I bet they'd still be able to pull out championships without him..
