you just keep doing it. like, it'll build up your leg strength.
i have no idea about editing and whatnot, but in terms of skating, you're showing a lot of potential. some of your shit looks kinda sloppy, but you're hitting good stuff and eventually get progressively bigger.
haha, lose the tight pants, great, thanks. nah, but really thanks.
jumping on to handrails isn't actualy that hard, at least if it's a down hill one cos you can jump on to like a little way down and then you actually jump about a foot high, high, mellow rails on the otherhand, i'd just try to jump over stuff a lot so you know how high you can jump before you try them.
working up to your first hand rail is a lot harder than say your second, it's mainly a confidence thing, when i did my first rail it was shit but i was just mainly shocked i actually got on, just start low and short and relatively steep and make sure you know you can do your grind far enough to clear the steps, it also helps if you can jump the set your grinding down cos then if you go fast at it and pussy out(witch most people including me do) you can just jump the set instead.
thanks, yeah i realize some of it wasn't our smoothest, it was all filmed in one day though and some of the tricks we were just stoked to stil be standing up after so we left it at that. i guess it is the plan to get bigger and techier, i see more potential in scott(the baggy guy) than in my self for rollin and i think he could go far.
filming-wise, if you have the funds defiantly look into buying a better quality camera, editing-wise very nice job, skating-wise very sick how long you been skating, and yeah defiantly loose the tight pants if i were you but everyone likes different things
thats just the sort of thing i wanted people to say, i guess the song is a personal preference, i tried to use a sorta more acceptable one than i might have usually.
yeah you tube is pish, i think i'll get brightcove or vimeo and put stuff on there from now on.the time lapse was just while i was waiting for my friend to do something, i want to get a tripod though and if i did have one i think i would spend longer on my time lapses and try to edit them better too.
i could also do with a new camera and better uploading software too but this stuff isn't free and i'm not too well off either.
i'm glad you liked the editing who ever said that, i'm not sure if it's a bit over edited or if i coud do a better job with a better program so it's good to hear it's not too bad.
my only gripe is the hand in the camera thing. thats so unbelievably played. i dont want to come off like a hater, cause i thought the rest was nice. just dont do that hand thing. not original.
I agree with what was said above about way too many flashes going on and the hand smacking the camera lens deal I've never understood. I thought the music was decent though.
Just a quick skating tip, speed is your friend. The more comfortable you can get with speed the smoother your rail/grind tricks will become. Speed also takes a lot of the shock out of landing bigger gaps.
