So I need to write a 14 line poem by Friday and they need the following guide lines:
The first 8 lines will use iambic pentameters with the
following rhyme scheme: abba, abba
The last 6 lines will follow the following rhyme scheme: cd, cd, cd and will alternate between
iambic tetrameter and iambic trimeter. (c = tetrameter, d = trimeter)
Grade: if you complete the above assignment you get 50
points
If you use blank verses, you get 45 points.
Every line that doesn’t follow either an iambic pentameter,
tetrameter or trimeter where instructed, drops 4 points from the grade.
iambic pentameter: On a /bright day/ in old/ Pennsyl/vania
iambic tetrameter: She
was /a girl /I loved /dearly/
iambic trimeter: They
tra/veled the/ whole world/
