Help?

k, I have an English project that if possible I would like some help on.
Its not me being lazy, I just cant think of anything.
I've read a book (searching for Alaska) and now I am putting together CD of songs that fit the book really well, problem is I can’t think oh any songs. if anyone has read it (Guessing no one) then any ideas?

or this is what happens in the story, its not a complex story at all, so any ideas of a song that would fit the story, or just a part of it?

in the story a boy who gets picked on all the time at his old school, and has practically no friends, gets put into a privet school in Alabama. His first night he gets thrown into a lake with his arms and legs duct taped together because of who his roommate his. he gets some really close friends, really likes one of them. one drunken night they make out then she goes to sleep, phone rings at about 3 AM she remembers she forgot her dead mothers anniversary and drives off drunk and dies, then the room mate and him search to find out why she ran off (didn't know about her mother)
