i figured i post this here cuz im here for the summer and i think some of u probably fish. g loomis gl2 9' fly rod used once for 2 hours. got it as a gift and i already had a nicer rod. pm me some offers if interested and can give u pictures if needed, kinda awkward taking pictures of rod i guess, but i can.
well since this is already kinda a fishing thread.... where does everyone usualy go fishing?
i usualy go fishing right below holter lake dam. i usualy get at least 1 trout 14" or bigger every time i go. Pretty fun spot for trout just make sure you have skeeter spray.
gallatin, east gallatin, usually a few times on the madison per summer. random backcountry lakes too, but i seem to have way better luck with moving water than standing water.
just renewed my fishing license recently- havent been out yet, though
I can't reveal my spots in the valley, but I do a little fishing up Hyalite and in the Beartooths when I have time. But the Beartooths are definitely my favorite place to fish, something about having 100 lakes to myself at 10,000'+ is really appealing. The fish are nice too.
me and tjski went fishing on monday at black eagle falls in great falls and he caught a 14 inch and 18 inch rainbow, i caught a 14 inch walleye. it is a pretty good spot and a 5 minute drive or 15 minute bike ride from my house. i have yet to get out my fly rod yet this year
^yeah dude, the official size of the fish ended out to be 17", i measured it when i got home. This is the biggest fish i have ever caught within 5 miles of town still. Usualy its shit fishing and holter damn is the place to go for me. But this black eagle spot is pretty fun and convienient.
