Hey, I am going there Dec 26-Jan1, should I be worried about snow conditions being that early in the year? Also, where are the best small/medium cliff hucks there. Thanks

yes...yes you should...

or you could get a buttload of snow, its relaly unredicatable.

and once you get there you'll see all the little cliffs and stuff...

i was there this winter and it was awsome. i shreded with a boarder i know who lives there and he showed me a bunch of cool stuff. a bunch of cool shit to hit, the hut, some good slack country and he had good weed. anyways, thats besides the fact, when i was there during christmas it was pretty sweet, we got about 20cm's aboout every 3 or 4 days, the terrain owns, (hike alot, try to do some backcountry) and youll shit really hard.

their park was fun when i went.
they had all the big stuff closed because two people got raped by a tire and another person overshot the large so all they had open was the mediums.
still really fun.
theres a kid on here who skis at KH who would probably show you around.

Dec. 28th is pretty close to their opening day. Its all dependent on the weather. 2 openings ago they got 14 feet of snow or something right before opening. That was good.

The horse is incredible...if there is one fault with the horse however its that they fucked up with the gondola...its an absolute pain in the ass skiing through 5km of flat every time you want to get back to the bottom of the gondola (the only way to the top of the mountain). im sure in years to come they will re-engineer it so theres a midstation, but for now, put up with transport skiing...its damn well worth it

allo. I live in golden, pm more closer to the date and i'll take you skiing and show you the hot spots.
The snow at that time is always different, the season we just had had good snow, the season before aroung the new year area was 20+ cms a day for the week. so it depends on nature

im pretty sure, actually 100% postive that there isnt a 5 km flat spot on kicking horse, maybe 500m, not even. thats a worst estimation that my million dollar ski film budget.
and for everybody out there, the gondola is too late of a model for a mid station to go in. deal with it

off the top of the gondola, and off the skiiers left of the chair on the far right of the mountain (forget its name), there is a shitload of flat to ski through after the initial steeps.

read my comment closely, i gave the horse a rap, just thought id give my opinion on the only negative of the place
