this summer i really want to get into longboarding so do you know of any recomendations i know there is sector 9 but that company seems like the burton of snowboard all beginers buy there products. my spending limmit is 150

sector nines make great first longboards. they are alot like burton, not very core, whatever. if your just starting off, one of their pintails would be ideal. great all around board, excellent to learn on. a complete setup is just about 150 as well...

A couple more companies that aren't as broadly well known as Sector 9, but arguably much better boards: LoadedBoards and Landyachtz Longboards. They are a little on the pricy side, but speaking from experience, if you can manage to scrape together the money it'll be well worth it.

i have the sector 9 surf camp model. It's a 46'' pintail and is their biggest bamboo board. i love that thing.....u can bomb hills with ease, cruise the boardwalk or flat land, and carve anything up with no problem. I got mine for $100 cause my bro works at a surf shop but i think the retail is around $200, which is definatly worth it

yeah loaded and landyachtz make the sickest longboards but i didnt want to recommend them for someone looking for their first longboard. sector 9's are very solid and are perfect for learning on because they will take a beating. i'd hold off on a nicer board until i was able to ride it. i've seen a few higher end longboards ruined because the owner wasnt at the ability level yet, fishing a DH race board out of flooded ditch is a sad day indeed.

yea i saw some sick video of people riding loaded boards on you tube and their deck are like 151 very hight for a first deck ahah

is a longboard a good thing to have for university? good for cruisin around campus? if so what type of board would be good for that type thing, just getting from point A to point B sorta thing?
