so the whole premise is that the contestant gets increasing amounts of money for answering questions truthfully. the contestant is hooked up to a lie detector and the contestant's close family and friends are all there. if the contestant lies then they loose all their money, but if they answer a question truthfully they can either quit and get the money they've earned or answer another question.
