Season in the park city area

We are a few euros thinking about doing a season in the park city area...
So i looked around on the web and newschoolers but i still have some questions, so here they are i hope you can give me some answers...

How much would a season pass be? and would it only cover PC?

Can you tell me anything about lodging? prices?

How long is the season?

How is the terrain and pow, i know its good sometimes but it doesnt seem to get a lot of snow... I guess i want to know everything freeride-wise... would you need to go to other resorts?

We will be 19ish at the time, Is it possible to get booze or is it impossible till youre 21... i guess we could bring fake ids or something...

What are the prices of cars? a proper used car to get us around the ski areas and SLC...

What kind of a city is SLC? does it have any nightlife or is it all mormons?

Could you think of any alternatives to PC? we need a good mix of park and pow... it will be in the same season as the Olympic games so whistlers out of the question...

Utahs pretty much the gayest place in the world.  You have to drive far to ski shitty snow and tiny mountains.  Everyone here is mormon, nobody drinks, and we are distrustful of outsiders with funny accents.  Heard Jersey is gunna be poppin next yr.

If I were you I would just find a place in SLC, its a million times cheaper and you can get to all of the resorts MUCH more easily. If you want good freeriding then get a pass to Alta, Snowbird, Solitude, or Brighton. PC has a great park and can be fun on a pow day but nothing compared to one of the above listed resorts. The season is long Ill tell you that, just go to the resort websites and see there. There are a bunch of mormons and I don't think the nightlife scene is as good as other cities, especially in Europe. But There are sick house parties, especially if you were to bring some of your European lady friends over. There is some localism though so watch out...

First off dont you have to get a pass for all the resort or can you get like a Utah-pass...
Secondly how bad are those mormons we dont reall have them here...
Well we didnt really expect too much from any american partyscene so thats okay, we just need enough to get us through after all were there to ski...

There is like the utah gold pass but that shit is a few grand, it kinda sucks but just get a PC pass and then maybe other for pow.

As for mormons, if you stay away from them they stay away from you, its pretty chill.

And the best way to get partying is to meet college kids and go to house parties, there are always good ones every weekend until ski season.

not alot of snow? alta gets like 600+ inches a year and PC's got one of the best parks in the country

word i'd get a pass to pc and alta!, stay in a hotel in slc, pc is too damn expansive and if you meet the right people you'll be able to party, the id thing would maybe work in pc, my 19 yr old friend can get into clubs, bars etc...

Not to be all pissy, but I basically answered your pass question. For me its definitey PC and Alta and the same for almost everyone I know. Alta is the shit but the locals can go woah on ya, so just rip harder than them and you'll be alright  (hard to do!). PC is a constant party, everyone slays haaard, its sick. At PC even the little tykes slayyy dragons like a knight of the round table. Oh and FYI Utah gets some pretty good snow.

Move to Colorado. Fun is essentially illegal in Utah. You don't want to live there. Where are you from in Europe? Drinking laws are extremely stringent in the United States. There is a huge difference from Europe. House parties get broken up very, very fast. You can forget about going to any sort of bar. Park City has an amazing park but you can find something similar at Breck.

Yeah but coming from Europe, Summit County will fucking suck terrain wise. Maybe PC is played but the area around it makes up for it and thats for dammn sure. I just skied a bit of a winter in the Alps and would hate to have to go home to a place where the only good thing is parks.

The terrain in Utah or Colorado is laughable compared to the alps. The snow is much better in those areas though, as are the parks. However, the parks do kill everything in Europe. I was living in Laax, which probably has the best park in Europe and it is still not close to what you'll find in other places.

Fun is basically illegal. Utah is the most conservative state in the United States. The US as a whole is much more controlled when it comes to parties, drinking or debauchery in general. If you think Utah is party central, leave every once in a while.

If you're looking for a nice town, relaxed atmosphere, great parks, killer terrain and lots of snow, look into Tahoe.

Once again, false. I drink/party more than i did in montana, which of course is montana but no where near being as conservative as utah. I hate it when people say that no one parties in utah and the only good thing is skiing.

If fun is "drinking/partying" then is IS illegal for anyone under 21 everywhere. I wouldn't say we party as hard as say boulder, but we definitely party.

The Wasatch have pretty sick terrain and epiiic snow. Nothing compares to the terrain in the alps, as you said you just can't beat it or find it anywhere else in the world. But Utah has enough to please. Tahoe would be good though because the weight of the snow would probably be similar to most places of the Alps.

No offense, but you're from Montana and living in Utah. They aren't exactly great gauges of partying. The US is pretty bad overall with their strict laws and don't really compare to other places. NYC, Tahoe, Cali, and the Go are of course exempt from my previous comments. I am generalizing of course, but Utah is notorious for being one of the worst places to party in the entire Western world.

yeah but you cant find snowbird,alta, brighton terrain in colorado except for crested butte. i love how kids from colorado act like we cant party here in utah, or complain about the beer. your a fucking pussy if you dont move somewhere because of a very slight difference in beer. it still gets you drunk.

I'm actually from Canada.
I'm not hating on Utah. It has some of the best skiing in North America, but, I would never choose to live there under my own volition.

i think mormons are nice people most of the time but i just dont agree how they put alot of their religious values into state laws. it sucks that even in salt lake that nothing is open on a sunday besides fast food and grocery stores. i think that they should move all the church shit to provo and stay down there ahaha

what i heard from my dad is that pc is in a canyon so it takes 2-3 charlifts up per good pow skiing.  but great pow, lots of it, and from footy i've seen great parks.  have yet to ski it though so don't take my word.

personally i wouldnt want to live anywhere else but utah. best quality snow, and a metro within 20-30 min to some of the best resorts in the country. and not redic crowded like CO. and i lived in pc and it is my favorite ski town(besides whistler)
