basically I have the infamous volkl wall 07/08 ski and i really like them to ski on.. solid flex, not too stiff but firm, good at high speed, solid on landings, perfect swing weight etc but they have fucked bases and the bindings have pulled out once on both skis already.. basically they wont last another season.. i have pretty much lost faith in Volkl park skis after the dogen and now the wall so i have been looking at the Amplid Antidogma as a replacement.. any info on durability, flex relative to walls etc would be great.. anyone who has skied both compare em.. i think they look like a super solid ski for me.. a bit about me, 5'9 135 pounds, strong bc skier but these wouldn't be for that, intermediate park skier.. these would be my all mountain/park ski as i also have Lizzies..
i just got mine in the mail, but i live in indiana so i won't be skiing these till december ha sorry. but guy from amplid said the team riders say it has the "perfect flex".
True.. very dumb.. but true.. but my point is that lots of skis have durability issues that emerge throughout the season.. a good example being the 07/08 volkl wall binding pullout issue.. has nobody actually skied the antidogmas here?
well i think they have edge reinforcements...and if they do then they should hold up well in the park....My urban punx have the reinforcements and they really do help.
antidogmas are sick- they ride like a cross between ar6s and karmas- think solid all-mtn twin that kills it in the park too. i've only ridden them, never owned but my friends experience durability-wise is excellent.
