Bruised heel question

so i compressed my heel pretty bad yesterday, and i can't put any weight what so ever on my heel. i can still move my foot around a lot, but i can't walk worth shit. my ankle is also fairly swollen question is; has anyone ever bruised their heel so bad they can't walk on it at ALL (basically had my symptoms), and the diagnosis just being a bruised heel?

cuz i don't want a broken heel that would suck.

yup exact same. couldnt walk on it or anything. got xrays and it was just bruised. theres nothing you can really do for it besides give it time.

bruised heels take sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long to heal (depending on the extent of the injury)

Go to a doctor!!!! someone like an orthopedic foot surgeon.  This happened to me in January, same symptoms, I went to instacare and they told me it wasn't broken.   I jumped again in February, even though it still hurt a little, I came up short on an even bigger jump this time, it hurt even worse.  I waited a month or so and it didn't go away, I finally got into an orthopedic foot surgeon.  His x-rays were from a different angle, he told me that it looked fractured.  He told me that only the angle he took the x-rays from would show the fracture and that is why Instacare probably hadn't seen them.  He then sent me in for a CT scan of my foot, it turned out I had an incomplete fracture of the heel, a chip in the heel, and also my ankle looked really messed up, but since it didn't hurt he wasn't sure if my ankle was always that way or what, but if it doesn't hurt we won't worry about the ankle.

i was just being silly.

and im going to go drop in or something today....another question.

do i need my care card to go to a walk in clinic or can i just go sit down and wait to see a doc?

rest and ice. ice and rest. ive broken mine. its terrible. just rest and wait for it to recover fully. jumping on a bruised heel led to a gnar stress fracture for me.

it takes fucking ages, I took a hockey ball to the heel, that kaned, couldn't walk on it at all, month later and its fine, I can still feel a bit of a twinge, but all the pain's gone
