that's what i thought too when i first saw them in magazines

i've gotten to ride them around a couple times this winter.  they rip pretty hard while still turning super quick, because they are short, stiff, and wide.  and the shaman's got a bigger shovel than my hellbents. 

ben likens them as "AT boards" because they rip just about everything, except length.

The nomad is a twin tip the shaman is kind of but i would use them as more of a powder telemark ski then for park

I am 5'10 but u do have a point most i of the park skiers i know arent over 5'6

i've got a pair of 181 nomads and 184 shamans on loan for a couple more days.  i could take a pic of them next to other skis for reference if you want.
