Just got a pair, but im not sure where I need to mount them. Usually I would do about 2cm back from true center (usually around core center) Can anyone give me a little info on where that line is? Is it in front of "addicted" or is addicted the same as core center? Thanks

the steeze is mostly a backcountry ski, so I'd recommend recommended.

yeah mount them back from core center because they'll suck for powder

there is usually a logo or something where it should be mounted around.

standard=regular, forward facing pow weapon
modern=little more playful switch, still ^
addicted=close to true center(?), more like a regular camber hellbent, still slays pow. i prefer addicted, but that might just be me...

It definitely depends on how much you weigh, but personally, for an all mountain type ski, I wouldn't mount any further forward than modern.

keep in mind that Rossignol has extremely conservative mounting points. So think about what other skis you have skied, and how they were mounted. Mount them based on how you like other skis mounted, not on what Rossignol tells you to mount them.

Ya thats what it seems like, im going to measure out the mounting points, but i think im going to go closer to addicted because I want to be able to ski switch in pow and go in the park occasionally with them.

i'd go with addicted or modern or somewhere in between, i'm pretty sure addicted is -2 cms back from true center and modern is -6 cms back from true center. standard is really far back its -8 cms back

I have mine on addicted and they ski pow just fine! That is still a few cm back from true centre, guess it depends how much you think you'll be skiing switch.

I am thinking about buying a pair of 174s and mounting them dead center for a stiffer version of a lizzie. Should be an awesome ski for crud and in the trees.

Those would be sick, even in park. For a more versatile ski though go modern, Steezes are money there.

yeah, I have thought about it quite a bit and I think the farthest back I would go is addicted. I have the ep pros for powder, so I just need something for the crud and the trees. I figure the lizzies are 2cm back recommended, so I would go between there and center.

ya i think im going to do the same, maybe not dead center, but +2 from true seems like it would be about perfect for a park/all mountain/tree tool

Yeah man that would be so sick, the 174 Steezes are surprisingly good at carving and on hardpack. Would make a dope all mtn/park ski at addicted.
For the thread creator though, if you are going for the 186 (and you should if you are any bigger than about 150 and using them as a big mtn ski) you could probably get away with addicted without losing too much pow performance, I still prefer them at modern though, but thats just me.

ya i have the 186, 174 was going to be wayyy tooo short. Addicted seems pretty good, but it just doesnt seem like its going to cut it in the park and on bc jumps etc. Im going to measure again and double check how far back addicted is...and then decide if i want to mount in front of that. These are going to be my everyday, one ski quiver and im going to be skiing the east and west with them....so occasional pow and ice/crud
All times are Eastern (-5)
