Yeah, Reagan pretty much created the Debt, and massive amounts of defecit spending, what the hell? Right wing governments seem to be the ideal choice for HELPING the economy, but when was the last time something bad didnt happen with a republican? Eisenhower maybe? Definately roosevelt, the older one.

Harvey - on the racial classifications proposition, the problem was that it would ban information that is key to medicial research (such as sickle cell anemia is more prominent in african americans than caucasians) and other such information. Another problem would be that if there was discrimination going on, with, say, police arresting people of african american, or asian, or hispanic ethnicity, more than caucasians, than there would be no data to show that, and therefore blantant discriminition could go on, but it would not be on the record and so technically it wouldn't exist. And so, while it would be great to say that there is no racial discrimination or data that needs to be collected, in reality it is important to research and freedom.

i think the scariest thing about Arnold is that he refused all debates excepted for one where he got the questions before hand. He never really said what he was going to do or how to fix problems, he was very vague. He said he wasnt going to cut social programs and wasnt going to raise taxes, so how the hell is the state gonna get out of debt?

and the whole reagan thing, you mean spend as much as possible and cut taxes to get re-elected and just shift the blame to the next president, yeah, he's great. kinda sounds like what bush is doing.

Hey lagwagon, california was already fucked but maybe its takes some like arnold to bring it back. its a better change than all the politicians that sit around and do nothing and wait for the stateto fall.
to all the people who think that states situation is Davis's fault, you are all wrong. yes he had a lot to do with it but much of the problems fell upon the politicans in sacramento who couldnt get there shit straight. Time will only tell how arnold does but dont just come out and say he is anidiot or doesnt know what hes doing. hes been involved in politics for the last decade and has a very good team of advisors behind him. thats all i got
