Bomb threats aint cool...

So two weeks ago it was last block of the day and our Principal comes on the announcement and says that we need to evacuate the building quickly and qietly as possible. So we evacuated and met in our homeroom spots in the parking lot... they didn't find any bomb, so we had school the next day, our principal congratulated us on our behavior during the scare. So yesterday, there was another bomb threat note found in the bathroom. This time it was secong block, and they came on the announcement and said "we need to evacuate the building, do not go to your lockers". So same drill, but then they moved us to the bleachers by the football field. So we sit there for about 10 mins. And our principal says that they need all the drivers to come down to the parking lot. I am included in that so I'm thinking alright we are gonna go home, but they had us stand by our cars and open the trunk. A teacher would walk by and ask if there was anything that wasnt ours. I passed, went back to the bleahcers, they said the school was safge so we then went to assembly with principal, she was pissed, said that the punishment is TEN YEARS IN PRSION, they might have to add a day to the school year if it happens again. The end. dicuss your thought on bomb threats.

wait so they got to inspect your trunks w/o a warrant and stuff? I know on a couple occasions at school i had beer in the afternoon in my trunk or like an airsoft gun or something.

^ you guys are fucking assholes. bomb threats suck. all it takes is one kid to leave a note in a bathroom and the whole school shuts down for the rest of the day. it's a waste of everyones time there, and I know most of you probably don't give a fuck about the time of your teachers and principals but don't forget that they have to call the cops and the fire department and waste their day too. I'm sure they could be doing more productive things. shits lame.

hate to tell you but at school, you have no rights. they can search your shit if it's on their property, no questions asked, no warrants or anything.

thats how it is in the states at least so that searching stuff is pretty sketchy but cops just say probable cause adn they can pretty much search whatever so it's gay

one of my teachers used to be a lawyer and explained all of this to us. It can all basically be summed up with just probable cause. If they have any suspicion, they can do whatever.
Weird thing, if your car is parked in their parking lot, and is unlocked, they can open it and search it, but if it is locked, they cannot. Of course this doesn't work if they see like a gun sitting on your dashboard.
I always find it annoying when people get mad about locker searches, come on, its the school's locker, they assigned it to you, and they have every right to search it.

at least ur school takes bomb threats seriously. at my school we had one last year and we had school anyway. and that car searching stuff would suck cuz i keep a stash of fireowrks in my glove box, not something ud want found when they're investigating a bomb threat
