I dought either of you are certified technitions. I am marker certified and yes it is true the biometric toe is one of the worst releasing toes on the market.(thats my opinion) It is very jerky when releasing and this is because its rebound range is very small. The rebound range is how far a binding will move before it actually releases you. Because of this the small amount of rebound is very stiff therfore making it harder to release at first. people complain of pre release because the rebound range is sooo small. So if you fall really hard or slam into a mogul or have a really sketch landing with a bio toe you will most likely eject even if you were not absolutly going to fall, this is good for racing like downhill and such because they dont smash into moguls or land big airs or slide down kinky urbanrails. The bio toe is not ment to be a freestyle binding the jester toe is. The binding is actually not pre releasing it is functioning the way marker wants it to, which is for pussies and racers. I test bindings as a part of my job and you can ask any technition marker binding release hott more often than others its just the way they are. The jester doesnt use the bio toe it uses a toe that is similar to tyrolia. This new toe has a larger rebound range there for releasing is smoother release and not so jerky. the best toe on the market is the look toe it has the largest amount of rebound which is why all mogul skiers and most park skiers use look bindings.
