Shattered Heels

Has anyone ever shattered there heels? I think I may have, but its hard to tell. At first it hurt so much I couldn't move for an entire day, It was impossible to put on socks or shoes. Since then it has gotten better, but stopped improving 2-3 days ago. Its pretty bad today. I can't really walk, I have to tiptoe everywhere. I look retarded.

Anyway, anyone have it happen to them?

Were you drunk and jumped off something? I was and did... i just put some padding in my shoe and it got better, grant you, mine wasn't shattered, just hurt like a mother for a few days.....

You may well have a stress fracture in the rear ball of your foot

Go and get it checked because you have enough time to fix it before the season starts but only if you don't walk around on it etc.

I walked for 5 hours yesterday, with only one 20 minute break. I was walking on my tip toes though, so is that ok? Its definatly on the ball area, but like to the side a little bit. The left foot is a lot worse than the right.

Hopefully the pain will subside in a couple days.... just keep your wait off it... It might just be bruised... Jumpin off shit when your drunk is probably the most fun you can have though, so don't let this minor setback discourage you! Keep it up man, and speedy recovery to you!

My roomate is in first year medschool, and when I got it done, he said it was probably bruised. He also said I would have to wait 8-9 hours to get it checked out by a doctor, so I am hesitant to do so.

I remember last year, during frosh week, I was jumping down stairs and I was so drunk I couldn't balance when I would land, I would just wipeout. I kept doing it though.

Jumping off stuff rules, although I did shatter my left ankle jumping down a five metre stair well to impress my mates. That hurt, especially the widespread ligament damage!

a friend of mine shattered his heel back in the day. Airlifted off of the hill, seven hours of surgery and two bone grafts.

okay, i just gotta say...please stop making the FARP video things. Its cool if you wanna make them and all, but dont make a website about it etc. Or at least get better first. i jumped over a campfire at this ubc ski club camping trip... and i was drunker than i thought so wheni landed i kind of just kept going and rolled plowing into like 5 people. i felt dumb... which i sussually how i wind up when im drunk.

Definitly need to get an x-ray on that one. Foot fractures can be a big problem because it will f*** with your posture and mess up your back. Plus you probably won't get any girls walking like a fairy. Anyhoo, go see your doctor and get it checked out because the fracture might not get a chance to heal properly if you keep walking on it. Did it bruise? Did you feel sick to your stomach afterwords? Did it swell up? Those are all signs of a fracture. Happy tip-toeing.

dude. i fucked up my foot somehow to. except i didnt do anything to make it hurt. but it hurts so much. my right foot...i can barely walk on it. when i do i have to walk on the outside of it..i cant press it flat on the floor either. what could i have done?????????

if you can walk on it already, its not shattered. I was skiing back in the ski team days and hit a huge jump. I landed flat and on ice. I tried to get up and ski, but collapsed because of the pain. I was out for the rest of the season.
