Wow your description was so detailed. It gave people a great understanding of where you ski, how hard you ski and what kind of snow you ski. That will help people help you decide so much.
alright i will give more info i did a pretty shitty job at it the first time i usually ski at alpental if you are not fimiral it is a steep mountain and its got ususally some chopped up stuff on the sides of the runs or if you go to the top its got usally chopped up stuff or not really ever icy that much and i have a pair of pes that i am riding now i dont usally ride park since it is pretty far away from alpental like a 15 min ride and its always packed park is fun but i dont get to go very much and i just want a powder ski as my secondary ski for those special days but i do know a kid who skis hellbents everyday at alpental thanks for the help on the responds im leaning now towards the hellbents the eps sound like noodles and too soft considering one guy said softer then my fujas and that is scaryÂ
Haha, don't listen to this guy. You should try them both on the same day and then decide. I have the hell bents and I love them, but I have not tried the EPs. You should PM thecriscokid, he has both and he will give you an honest opinion on anything you ask.
I have the EP PROS and theyre stereotyped as noodles but that is only in the tips and tails. About 120cm or so of the flat section is rather stiff and that can take you all over the mountain while those soft tips and tails are what kill it in the powder. Between the Hellbents and EP Pros you need to decide if you want to just surf around and huck little stuff on the EP's and be able to play around more. Or get the hellbents and somewhat charge and not have as playful of a ski. And if your over about 180 pounds you should probably go with the Hellbents as not to overpower the EP Pros. Either way they will be dope and have fun.
I love my EP Pros, but if youre pretty tall/big you should get the bents. EPs are really playful and a super fun ski, but you can still charge pretty fucking hard on them, just not as well in the crud. In the end though you should try them both on powder days, and decide for yourself.
the drive to the park from there is like 5-10 minutes, its sometimes icy their and if it is it is pretty bad, chair two (top lift) usually always has some pow, theres a lot of backcountry, but then there are the icy filled up days, usually if you stay in the chair two or lower unused runs or tree skiing your good, but you have to ride hardpack almost all the time to get to pow, and for some backcountry you have to traverse a while or ride hardpack, i think it would be fun to have EP's if your lighter and Hellbents if your taller, have you seen me around? (Red Jacket, Grey Pants) I ski with my bro almost all the time there he has a Red and Black jacket and Black pants. Thats what alpental is like. There is a lot of backcountry and usually no matter what you can find pow there, but i would ski backcountry for the rest of the season avalanche danger is very high.
I ride it in the park because I have no other skis...seriously
well I do but they need to be remounted and I don't really like them, and I also have some fujatives but after riding my hellbents for like 2 straight weeks of pow, and occasionally dabbling in the park. those short fujatives don't seem right
but I will have some better skis that are still mildly fat to ride in the park next year, they are just too fun
hahaha yeah nice way of putting it "they both look sick" how old are you 5? they both ride different you have to tell ppl what type of shredding your into and how soft you like your skis
