I want to get a new pair of skis that is good for all around skiing. I already have a pair of park skis, so these will be more of a powder/ all mountain ski. I am 5ft 6in and 130 pounds. I was looking at the guns (174) or brigades (171) or anything else you think that might be good. Thanks
they are both fairley similar skis
the brigade is stiffer and...thats really about it performance wise
the guns gots the foam core while the rossis are wood as well
id say it depends on how aggressive u r, and ur prefered stiffness if any
id go with the brigades, they will last longer because of the wood core, they are super light, have a nice flex pattern, and do everything. they work in pow, steeps, park, and rip the cordury with no chatter whatsoever. the guns are good too, but my vote is for the rossis
My vote goes to the Brigades. That was the ski I wanted to get this year, but I found a pair of JJ's instead that I liked. Rossi got it right with those bad boys.
yep i made the switch from the pokcet rockets (predecessor to the guns) to last years Scratch BC (predecessor to the Brigade) and I loved it. The salomons are lots of fun and very easy to ski, a great ride for an advanced skier that goes everywhere. I switched to the Brigade for a stiffer ski that is more stable charging at high speeds. it takes a lot more effort to ski it and it isnt crazy about short radius turns but they charge and are super light for airing shit.
