For those of you who dont know, i live in cincinnati ohio not a place for skiing. The subarb of loveland is where i reside in and the town it known for wrestlers and track stars, But i ski. I am 1 out of 20,000 plus people in my town who ski so it sucks talking about skiing. i went to colorado for a week and was excited to come back and tell my boarder friend about my trip. But the second i walked in that front door,i was hazed and called a raccoon for having a decent goggle tan. I didnt even think of that when i noticed i had one, i was just stoked cause it was a good tan. My teachers made fun of me and my friends did, but the principals even looked at me like i was from another planet.it sucks to come back from a sick vacation with a goggle tan and be rediculed for as long as i have it.For those of you lone skiers in your town, i feel your pain it sucks but i laugh because i realized it was all worth it and look forward to another day tomorrow of being made fun of !

dang that sucks,
half the people in my school have goggle tans, so I cant put myself in your position to easily. Although i know id go crazy having no one to talk to about skiing.

my school is full of 'bro' boarders. aside from myself and another hardcore skier. we are the only freestylers in our district of roughly 40,000 people and pn top of that i live in Central Ohio which equates to ZERO snow to make legit backyard setups and go urban hunting whenever i feel like it. I hate how in my world and community most people dont even know freestyle skiing exsists...so my point is i feel for you along with all you other guys who have noone to share their experiances with except for newschoolers.com and a few legit people on your local hill or shop

No offense but it sounds like you have no self confidence. I go to a school very close to Perfect's so there are probably a few more skiers that go to my school. I'd say only 5-10 tops go on any regular basis (and realize how sick goggle tans are). My school has 1500 kids. So I'm a minority just like you. If I had the chance to go out west and ski for a week and come back with a goggle tan I'd be one of the happiest kids alive. Skiers are special for a reason because we know the feeling of pure bliss unlike most people, that sets us apart from them. Why would you let a bunch of people who are probably just jealous of you get under your skin? Makes no sense to me

thats exactly whats happening to me right now. I just got for park city for spring break and im the only skier in the school, and all the kids think its either extreme 5 o clock shadow or dirt, and wont stop talking about it. But I know I had an amazing time getting it while they were sitting at home bored.

I live north of charlotte north carolina. Last year there was another newschooler at my school but he left and me and my step bro are the only people who ski park in my town. I have a bunch of boarder friends but some are seriously gaper poser fags and really suck. I tell people I ski and they ask me dumb ass questions like "do you do blacks?".
