1. do you ski and not take it overwhemlingly seriously?

2. do you surf (and im not talking "oh, yes, actually, when i went on vacation to san diego and rode a wave once, but i was standing like a peeing elephant through the entire ride")??

This isn't what deus ex machina means. Deus ex machina is latin and it translates to God in the machine. It means introducing something completely irrelevant and unnessecary to solve a problem. Its like saying god created the earth instead of actually trying to find out the real science behind it. Your definition is kinda mixed up.

I don't want to be a dick, really I don't, and it's cool to be into books don't get me wrong. But when you list one book in your book interests section and you spell the title wrong... Never mind. In fairness you appear to have pulled into some solid double-overankle waves in your time which clearly makes you a "real" surfer so good luck to ya i guess...

is vermont within 50 miles and how the fuck does somebody within 50 miles surf not just on vacation.  That seems impossible unless thier is some new ocean in CO i didnt know about

for all seriousness, this was for a marketing project.
i am trying to advertise to the skier/surfer community, which is apparently not possible and now i understand why the industries have just stuck to snowboarder/surfer marketing. the pictures were for purposes so people seeing the pictures would respond accordingly about surfing. the comments were interesting, for all i noticed was disgust. and that i was fat. nice guys.

Well it probably doesn't work because:

1. Skiing isn't anything like surfing at all, in any way.
2. Snowboard i guess is somehow somewhat related
3. There isn't snow within 100 miles of good surfing. (accept maybe mammoth?)
