The animator, Don Hertzfeldt, just did this as a made up short.  Doesn't make it any less funny (okay, well, yes it does).

Oh my dear lord I watched the first one and I can't stop laughing! "I am a banana!" It's so random but amazing. I'm saving them to watch tomorrow so I can have something to do during school. Thank you for that.

for an acting class one of the kids just walked up to the front of the class and said "I am a bannana" for his presentation. I was the only one that was laughing on the ground. everyone else was just like WTF.
