sharp edges....i wanna ski pipe in the summer like at COC or something when it isnt rock hard, icey east coast pipes scare me. but i also suck at pipe i dont know the first thing about it, but i do know i always pop to hard an land at the bottom of the tranny, so dont pop hard

practice, practice, practice. Before even trying any spins and stuff, just ride a pipe a ton, trying to pump the transitions to give that little boost, learn good angles and such, and work on figuring out what kind of pop (if any) will get you to land on the top of the wall, rather than the deck or in the flats.
Get comfortable going fast, very fast, but do it in increments. Then start trying small spins, and start stomping them and add more rotation and stuff, and link up full runs. It takes time.

So as you hit the lip you pop slightly to ensure you stay in the pipe right?

choose your wall some people like left some like right. come to the top of one of the walls with a comfortable speed. then when you are ready to drop in you should be going alongside the top of the wall and you should be able to see the whole wall that you are on top of and then you can kind of just roll into it. when you are traveling down the wall you kinda wanna push off the wall like youre pumping it. then across the bottom try to keep you speed. when coming at the next wall you wanna compress as you go up it and when you reach the lip you wanna pop enough so you dont deck out and not too much so you land low. dont pop too early wait till your feet are on the lip then you wanna pop.

yes but you dont want to pop too hard because then you will land at the bottom of the tranny, and that is not a good thing
